Will Rocksmith’s latest DLC leave it marooned?
When Ubisoft released Rocksmith, it was, in my eyes at least, a possible replacement for the ageing, and outgoing as it happened, Rock Band series. I had high hopes of a plethora of hard, metal driven DLC that could bring on anyone’s shredding skills and make you fall in love with the music based gaming genre again.
The DLC started to stream through and now, the people at Ubisoft have decided to release this.
A 3 track pack from the popsters, Maroon 5. Yes, Maroon 5.
This has sparked somewhat of a backlash on the games’ Facebook page from disgruntled rock fans who were expecting a little more in the way of metal.
So, this DLC includes the following tracks from maroon 5, “Misery”, “Harder To Breathe” and “She Will Be Loved” are all available now, as a three track pack, for 640 MS Points or individually for 240 MS Points each. Each track will come with a new Authentic Tone, accessible in AMP Mode, but are you going to be buying this?
- Maroon 5 – 3 Track Pack – 640 MS Points
- Maroon 5 – “Misery” – 240 MS Points
- Maroon 5 – “Harder To Breathe” – 240 MS Points
- Maroon 5 – “She Will Be Loved” – 240 MS Points
So, will this alienate the metal contingent who wanted Rocksmith to be the next musical game of choice, or will we be seeing better things from the likes of Band Fuse, out later this year?
As ever, there’s a trailer to go with the DLC and here it is.
