In the first few months of any brand new console life-span, the deciding factor of “winning the war”, if it can indeed even be won, tends to lie with just how many exclusives can be notched under its belt.

With Sony making a bold statement and stepping out first in this next generation console war, it’s left people wondering just what games does Microsoft have for the next Xbox!

Well, it seems that the next Xbox may have something rather huge up its sleeves in the shape of The long-awaited first game from Respawn Entertainment.

Respawn, the studio helmed by the creators of Call of Duty, will apparently be exclusive to the next Xbox. This is according to two unrelated sources familiar with the game, who also believe that we can expect a 360 version released alongside it.

The new game from Respawn, which is believed to be a multiplayer focused shooter, is described as being a battle between foot soldiers and giant robotic exoskeletons or Titans. These Titans can be piloted by any soldier on the field but will supposedly move with some agility in a move to separate itself from other mech based games such as Steel Battalion.

Maps will limit the number of Titans that can be used in a battle in an effort to keep things balanced and weapon load-outs for the foot soldiers are designed to ensure that the characters on foot can take out the Titans, if need be.

Multiplayer will operate on a grand scale, with players choosing between two large factions and their individual experience collected  and counted towards the progress of said faction. Apparently supporting 16 players, the game will often add AI-controlled soldiers in to keep things even and open up the odds for beginners to bag some kills.

While all of this is built on rumours, it was noted some time back that Respawn had trademarked the word ‘Titan’, which could be a coincidence but could also lend some weight to the rumours.
