Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition 1.7.3 Title Update and Skin Pack DLC detailed
Microsoft have today announced a new feature that will be available soon on the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft. Custom skins, a staple of the PC version of Minecraft will be available in the next Title Update, 1.7.3, in a way. Instead of true custom skins where you can change the character pixel by pixel, you will be able to select any of the 8 skins currently available by default.
Also announced is the Skin Pack DLC. The Skin Pack DLC will be a paid for content pack that will allow you to change your in game character’s look, without sticking to a default “Steve” skin. There will be more that 40 custom skins that you can choose from, with some original ones, but also ones that pay homage to other games, such as Trials, ‘Splosion Man, and Halo. Here are 5 of the skins that have been confirmed to be in the pack:
- Creeper Man
- ‘Splosion Man
- Trials Man
- Covenant Grunt
Along with the skins, from the screenshots that have been released it looks as if pistons are to be made available in 1.7.3, as well as the small feature of allowing you to stack fences on top of each other. The date for both the 1.7.3 Title Update and the Skin Pack DLC are yet to be confirmed, but we’ll keep you up to date with all the details when they’re made public.
