Apprently a ranking system has been introduced to Gears of War 2 - Not a lot is known about it as of yet but according to an internet source it is ’similar to Halo’ along with matchmaking. Now is this good or bad? We will let you decide! Hit the jump to watch a video.

In a blatant attempt to piggy back on the recent success of Rockstar’s GTA IV, THQ have released the latest trailer for their sequel to their game Saints Row. THQ deny attempting to steal the limelight but I’ll leave it for you to decide. GTA IV fans please take a deep breath before saying anything.

Winter 2008 are you ready for the plague?

Up till recently this subject had be tearing my hair out and I could not for the life of me work out how we in the UK could possibly do this. The issue behind this being is Microsoft created a non standard format for us which they entitled PAL-60 (usual TV signals in UK and most of Europe is PAL-50). This causes the issue that up till recently I could not find a capture device that would recognise it or that I could bodge to a level that would give acceptable quality. After trying 2 other capture devices one from belkin and the other from ADS I eventually found a review for the Dazzle video creator Platinum so taking debit card in hand I took the plunge again.
So here for those interested is how I managed to do it.
