Eurogamer Expo: Hands on with Crysis 3

EA gave us the chance a get out hands on some team based multiplayer action at the Eurogamer Expo today, surprisingly the stands were fairly quiet but I quickly got in on some multiplayer action.
First off the game looks fantastic, built again on the CryENGINE everything seems to have improved from Crysis 2, from the real environments to the beautiful lighting. I got to take on a new game mode called Hunter mode. The level I played on was set at The Museum of Modern Art in the swampland that is New York.
Anyone familiar with infection style modes will have a fair idea of what is going on. Hunter mode starts with two ‘hunters’ against up to 10 CELL operatives, you may feel outnumbered at first but thanks to a nanosuit with permanent invisibility and a bow that can take down operatives with a single shot things don’t seem so bad.
The CELL operatives have a choice of multiple loadouts including assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles or explosives and they need to earn points by surviving for as long as possible. The most useful weapons is a special grenade that will reveal the hunters to everyone. There are 5 two-minute rounds to play in and there were plenty of chances to be a hunter or a CELL operative.
I had fun with Crysis 3, it surprised me much like Crysis 2 did and that’s a really good thing, if you get a chance check it out!
