You may start to see some changes over at Xbox.com in the next few days. In line with the anticipated dashboard update, the website is getting a redesign with the addition of new social and video features.
The Xbox.com blog tells us that the ‘My Xbox’ section of the site is to be replaced with a new ‘Social’ section in the coming days, making it even easier to see what your friends are doing on Xbox LIVE.
It’ll enable players to access a new ‘Beacons’ feature, “which lets you mark games you want to play with others, making it easier to find friends who want to play the same games”.
There’s other new functionality available from the new Social page, including a revamped Messages section, and the ability to visit friends’ profiles to see the Beacons they’ve set.
Other new functions to the site include a new Video section that lets you browse the Zune video catalogue and purchase movies and TV shows to watch later on your Xbox 360, Windows Phone, or Zune media player.
More info can be found on the Xbox.com blog.
