Ubisoft announces new game based on Spartacus IP

If you’re a fan of Sam Raimi’s gloriously OTT TV show Spartacus, then you’ll be pleased to know that Ubisoft are bringing all the action and violence (presumably not the nuddy bits as well, but you never know) to a console near you in “early 2013″.
Spartacus Legends features the voice and likeness of actor Liam McIntyre (Andy Whitfield - the original Spartacus - sadly passed away last year due to Pancreatic Cancer), and gives players the chance to become a Gladiator through a series of “primeval moments” that include training sessions and brutal battles in the arena.
Character customisation will be key, giving you the choice of thousands of “ruthless” weapon combinations and a “robust” skill system, all in the name of enemy dismemberment, as you take on the mantle of Spartacus, Crixus or one of your own battle-hardened creations in local and online multiplayer battles.
About Jeff Barker
Jeff has been with the Xboxer360 team since April 2009. He is well known for his love of sandals and frequently exhibits Rainman-like behaviour, which is even more amazing now he's a Dad. He prefers third person action/adventure titles and RPG's, but will happily turn his hand to pretty much anything.
