The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Teaser Trailer

A new Lord of the Rings title is coming to the Xbox, Lord of the Rings: War in the North. Hold those excitable horses though because at the moment it is pencilled in for a 2011 release. In the meantime like a hungry hobbit at a feast lay your eyes on this teaser trailer below.

The newest game in the Lord of the Rings series is an epic multiplayer action/RPG video game based on the renowned novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. Form a ‘Fellowship’ with 3 other friends and embark on an epic journey to fight Sauron’s forces in the North. Explore unseen lands, story elements and characters from Middle-earth as well as elements familiar from past feature films. An extensive character customization and development, expansive co-op gameplay options and upgradeable weapons, skills and special abilities await those that undertake the War in the North!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is developing the title in association with Middle-earth Enterprises.

    Looks epic – let’s hope it’s tonnes better than the other, slightly lacking titles in the LOTR series!

    I just hope it’s better than the train-wreck that was the last title, which ended up looking and playing like a last-gen Star Wars: Battlefront. Which is exactly what it was.

    Sort of explains why Pandemic got shut down though.
