Syndicate will not have an online pass

When the awesome Syndicate launches later this month, it will breaking an EA tradition by not having an online pass in the hopes of lowering the barrier of entry for the game’s multiplayer side.

EA Partners executive producer Jeff Gamon, explained that despite EA’s policy on Online Passes they ”got away with it” because it didn’t have competitive multiplayer and because they wanted as many people as possible to be playing co-op.

He also expected throughout the nine multiplayer maps, that players can expect “a good six, seven hours” on a single playthrough.

Syndicate is available in Europe from the 24th February.

A weird move by EA, almost a backtrack perhaps? I did hear rumours that the game retailer industry and in talks with developers in order to rectify the preowned market kick backs though. That is only a rumour at the moment though.

I can't stand the online pass, so it's great news.
