Square Enix showcase new Luminous Studio game engine

Square Enix’s titles have always been impressive visually - let’s face it, who wasn’t blown away by the FFVII’s CGI cut-scenes – but their new Luminous Studio game engine looks set to increase the wow factor tenfold.
The developer demoed their new tech at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, and although we’re not sure which game(s) they showed off - the lighting and shadow effects, plus the level of detail possessed by the engine is absolutely gorgeous.
Fingers crossed we’ll be seeing some Luminous Studio-powered titles very soon, but feast your eyes on the footage below for an example of what the engine can do.
