Rocksteady gives their blessing to the new Batman game
With Warner Bros. Montreal taking the reigns of the recently announced (but long rumored) Batman: Arkham Origins, former director of the series Sefton Hill told Game Informer that he expects that the new team will do the popular game series justice.
Rocksteady is excited to see WB Games Montreal developing the prequel to the Batman Arkham franchise.
The game is now being headed up by Eric Holmes, who definitely has experience working in open world games during his time at Radical Entertainment making games like Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (a personal favorite) and Prototype.
A fresh perspective on the Arkham series may actually be quite interesting, for as much as I love the previous two games, their weakest point was always the stories, as they require a lot of prior knowledge of the characters and simply throws you into situations with rarely any build up (especially Arkham City). Starting from the beginning may actually provide more framing for the story.
Regardless, one of the best games of this generation being run by the guy responsible for one of the best games of the last generation? Shut up and take my money!
