Robert Bowling leaves Infinity Ward

Robert Bowling aka fourzerotwo has left the role of ‘creative strategist’ at Infinity Ward, the studio behind the hit Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series.

He broke the news via Twitter yesterday

Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision.

Bowling was probably the biggest face to not leave during the Zampella/West saga back in 2010.

Infinity Ward later tweeted a message about the resignation but led no indication to what Bowling’s next move is.

We wish Robert all the best. Thanks for everything. For continued MW updates & all things IW follow @infinityward.

Where do you think Robert will head next? Can you see him joining Respawn Entertainment with his ex co-workers? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I can see him going to Respawn, the way he's worded it doesn't make it sound like your usual resignation, sounds like another saga to me.

It does sound a bit dodgy, I'm keeping my eyes peeled to his blog on fourzerotwo.com to see if any light is shed.
