According to a financial report released by publisher Capcom, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has sold around 2 million copies worldwide.
The game received a poor reception, which hasn’t taken that much of a knock on sales. Slant Six will be happy with those numbers that’s for sure.
Whilst Street Fighter X Tekken only sold 1.4 million copies since it launched. Once again, they’re decent numbers for a fighting genre that doesn’t appeal to everyone.
Overall, Capcom’s net sales were down 16 per cent to ¥82 billion, while operating income fell 13.8 per cent to ¥12.3 billion. A disappointing end to good sales it seems.
