Resident Evil 6′s “Agent Hunt” mode revealed

Japanese video game mag Famitsu has outed some details on one of Resident Evil 6′s new modes, as reported by Andriasang.com.

At first glance “Agent Hunt” sounds a lot like Left 4 Dead’s Vs mode, but here’s the rub: the mode will allow you to play anonymously as a creature in another player’s main game, who’ll be alerted to the fact that you’ve hijacked a zombie or whatnot, but will receive no further indication as to where (or what) you are. Multiple characters are able to team up and attack whoever’s playing the main game, too – which will no doubt spark some kind of cyber-bullying campaign further down the line.

Thankfully, this mode won’t be available until unlocked after playing the single player campaign it its entirety, but it does look like only certain (currently unnamed) stages will only be open to Agent Hunt.

Dragon’s Dogma owners will have already received access to an RE6 demo, although everyone else will be able to get hands on with the title at the Eurogamer Expo later in the year. If you’re unable to do either of those things then take a look at our RE6 Campaign Footage video, where our Leigh walks us through both the Leon and Chris campaigns.
