Resident Evil 6 – 8 Years Away?

Resident Evil 5’s producer Masachika Kawata has revealed that Resident Evil 6 could be in development for up to eight years. When asked by The Gadget Show whether the timeframe between Resident Evil 5 and 6 will be similar to that of 4 and 5, Kawata replied:
“We haven’t decided whether we’re going to make Resident Evil 6 yet. But if we do, it could take anywhere up to eight years, but hopefully only four.”
…..I am, to say the least, a little put down by this news. As a complete Resident Evil addict even 4 years seems like a lifetime away. However in the meantime I have Resident Evil 5′s Professional mode to contend with!
