Resident Evil 5 – BSAA Emblem Guide

If you are a Resident Evil enthusiast, Gamerscore addict or just generally love playing games to the point of completion then those BSAA Emblems should already be tallying themselves up. Admittedly I played through the game the first time and managed to collect a grand total of four so searching for them all was more difficult than I had anticipated.

So if you’re short of one or all thirty BSAA Emblems look no further than right here!

Progressing through this guide will reward you with a variety of treasures the most notable being a costume for Chris and another for Sheva. Firstly, I highly recommend that you carry a sniper rifle with you at all times because you will need it. Secondly, I should remind you that it is possible to simply quit the game after collecting an emblem without losing it, so no need to go through every level again if you are simply hunting for them.

Chapter 1-2:

 0.jpg

After you kill the enemy that jumps out from behind the stack of boxes you will find a building that has two locked doors, go inside and head up to first balcony. Look across, past the market stall and you will spot this one.

 01.jpg

After a while you will come to a building full of dead BSAA soldiers, one room has a ladder that you must climb. Once you climb it look up and you will see a large water tower, the emblem is sat on the metal frame.

011.jpg

Once you have killed the boss at the end of this mission there will be a container with handgun ammo inside, look through the fence on the left of it and take out the BSAA emblem.

Chapter 2-1:

1.jpg

This is potentially the most easy to spot, in the room that you begin look up to the right of the exit and its yours.

2.jpg

When you reach the stage where a truck races across the bridge in a crazy attempt to crush you then you can prepare yourself for another small blue collectable. Reach the other side and stand at the right of the bridge, you will spot it at the base of the closest support.

3.jpg

Its at this point that the developers get a bit nasty because just before you enter the room containing a dead body and a set of keys you will have to check the small green structure to the right.

4.jpg

Shortly after you receive assistance from the BSAA helicopter you need to head up the ladder and go to the corner facing the direction you will need to go to progress in the mission. The emblem is inside a second story alcove.

5.jpg

The last emblem on this stage is located near the second assist jump. Before or after you throw Sheva across to face a horde of majini you need to turn around and look to the upper right to spot this emblem balanced on a concrete block.

Chapter 2-2:

6.jpg

7.jpg

I hope that you have remembered that sniper rifle because this is where it becomes useful. As you start there will be a large tower behind the building, the easiest way to get it is to run out far enough then turn around. The emblem is at the very top so using a sniper makes this so much easier.

8.jpg

When inside the cave you will eventually come to a wooden bridge, this is the location for the next emblem. Turn to your right and you will spot this one attached to the waterfall.

9.jpg

10.jpg

When you get out of that cave continue playing as normal until you climb up the rather immense and quite tall ladder. Ok, pull out the rifle again and you will spot this on top of the buildings you came from.

Chapter 3-1:

14.jpg

15.jpg

If you are on co-op then the easiest way to get this is to drive up on the boat and let your partner shoot it however if you are on your own simply use your rifle and look out towards the post from the starting point. You will just barely spot the emblem so give it a few shots and you should hit it.

16.jpg

17.jpg

Now, head to the island in the middle of the lake, I’m going to call this ‘chicken island’ on the basis that it has lots of chickens! Once again, if you have a partner drive behind the hut and let him/her shoot at it. If not then go onto the island and stand to the left of the landing spot and aim under the hut, through the steps. See it?

18.jpg

Time to hop back into the boat and head to the top left of the map. Quite simple really, get out of your boat and go into the hut then look to the roof to take the emblem.

19.jpg

Once you have collected all of the slates needed to progress in the level you will find the next emblem just through that door. Hop down into the water and turn to face the point where you were just standing.

Chapter 3-2:

20.jpg

When you reach the clearing which contains two TriCell tents just run through either of them and then aim in the gap in between to see the BSAA emblem.

21.jpg

After you watch Irving escape in a cutscene you will be faced with a more majini coming towards you, simply turn around and enter the building just behind you to see this one stuck to the wall.

Chapter 3-3:

22.jpg

23.jpg

Two ways to go about collecting this one as it is under the walkway as you enter the first gated area. If you have a fast trigger finger and good aim then you can hit it as you pass under or if you are like me you can get off the boat and use a rifle to find and destroy it.

Chapter 4-1:

24.jpg

Inside the spider infested caves head up the first ladder, walk about halfway along and turn right. You should be able to spot the emblem near the bottom.

25.jpg

26.jpg

Once you enter the large ruin environment pull out your rifle before moving anywhere. Aim just underneath the big crystal like structure and you should just about make out the emblem. If you struggle to hit it from the distance you can walk further along to get a better view.

27.jpg

28.jpg

In the area full of different coloured statues go right and jump across the gap, head up the stairs and look across towards jade statue, the emblem is on the bricks above it. You will need your rifle once more to hit this one.

Chapter 4-2:

29.jpg

Its just the one BSAA emblem to find on this level and its located right near the end. When you reach the final floor of the reflecting light puzzles go into the room which houses a corpse impaled with several spikes. This room also has the statue of a skull with an orb in its mouth right outside the door. Once inside turn around and look above the doorframe.

Chapter 5-1:

30.jpg

At the start of the level, run around the circular room by going right, you will see the emblem underneath the bridge that you need to cross in order to advance through the level.

Chapter 5-2:

31.jpg

Once you have made it past the conveyer belt filled with explosive canisters head down the steps and go to the dumpsters on your left. The emblem is inside the open one. I should also add at this point that I struggled to hit it with Sheva because when I aimed I could see the emblem, I don’t know if the same applies to Chris however a bit of determination and the right position will ensure you add this one to your collection.

Chapter 5-3:

32.jpg

Upon defeating the boss, leave the room and look at the giant fan on the right. You should notice the emblem behind the rotating blades.

33.jpg

34.jpg

Various ways to collect this one however I found the easiest was to head down the ramp onto the large platform that will spin when activated but stop once you get to the end of the ramp.  Get the rifle out again and look towards the balcony in the distance. Zoom in and you should be able to hit it through the floor.

35.jpg

After the spinning platform chamber you will reach more ruins. Go to the elevator on the left and without hitting the switch, go to the side of ‘hole’ and you there it is on the side of the shaft.

Chapter 6-1:

36.jpg

37.jpg

Right from the start of the level equip your rifle and turn right so that you can see the huge tower in the distance. Once zoomed in you should be able to see it right at the top, it took me a few shots to get this one however it is possible.

38.jpg

One word to describe the next one; awkward! When you reach the point that a cage falls on your partner you need to throw a grenade into the container to the north, alternatively you could shoot one of the dynamite majini and blow the emblem up that way if you are lucky.

39.jpg

Finally the last emblem can be collected after the Excella cutscene in a shelf behind a sheet of glass.

Congratulations you should now have all thirty emblems and two new costumes. If you have any problems or queries post a comment below.

Apologies for the poor image quality however I am working on getting some better quality ones soon.
