The release date for id Software’s upcoming shooter has been pushed back by a few weeks. RAGE will now release in the UK on October 7th.
The news was confirmed on the game’s official website, without any press release it appears.
It will use the id Tech 5 engine and will feature both singleplayer and multiplayer.
After the asteroid struck, civilisation restarted once again, with pockets of survivors hiding away from the rebels and mutants that lurk outside of the walls. You play as a lone member who has emerged from an underground Ark, seeking an alliance with the settlers above. We’ve been informed that there are plenty of driving sections throughout, in which you race around in a dune buggy. Players will have the ability to upgrade these vehicles and other various equipment they obtain from winning races. Obviously this isn’t just a racer, as it primarily focuses on shooting enemies.
This does seem like an innovative title and could perhaps resemble Borderlands in some way.
