Microsoft patents gaming glasses display

Microsoft has patented some new technology, according to Patent Bolt – which involves displaying media into a pair of glasses.

There are two designs for the tech, which includes a simple pair of glasses and some sort of aviation helmet with mounted lenses. Currently, the designs are only ideas and we already know Microsoft can design some splendid gadgets.

One of the problems with projecting an image so close to the human eye is that they can’t focus on the image properly. Microsoft’s solution to this appears to involve projecting the data on the glasses backwards, so it appears further away to the user.

Apparently, Microsoft began work on this project in 2010 and it’s unclear whether they’re actually going to use it. Maybe something Xbox-related.
