With mere weeks before the release of Metal Gear Rising Revengance, it’s now a well-known fact that Konami are flooding us lucky gamers with a multitude of free DLC, namely in the form of costumes for Raiden to sport as he slices and dices his way through Geckos and vamps.

Well today it seems that konami are set to release even more DLC this time in the form of VR missions and smaller sub-plots revolving around new characters. Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation published the news, which was caught by Siliconera, noting that no dates had been decided and that it wasn’t quite clear if these would be free updates or paid DLC.

Regardless, this is still some fairly exciting news. VR missions are an obvious addition considering the big role they have played in the past across the Metal Gear series, including Konami producing a standalone spin-off of VR Missions.

If you still haven’t had the chance to experience Metal Gear Rising or even a VR mission, then the demo is available now on Xbox Live with the game releasing shortly on February 22nd
