Is Prey 2 in trouble?

Lead level designer Nathan Cheever tweeted that Human Head’s shooter Prey 2 is “in Limbo”. Whilst responding to another tweet, Cheever also suggested that the future of the game was in the hands of their publisher, Bethesda.
Speculation grew last August when, after a long silence, Prey 2 wasn’t even given a mention on Bethesda’s new web design.
After seeing what news his tweet was causing, Cheever also added that this was hardly news and that the game has been on hold for a while now.
