Holy added value, Batman! Is Robin set to swoop in to Arkham City?

If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to tackle the Joker’s clown-faced goons as a 12 year-old acrobat with a penchant for pantihose, Batman: Arkham City may just be about to blow your mind.

According to North American retailer Best Buy, The Boy Wonder will be a playable character available in their exclusive pre-order challenge maps. This is basically the same offer included with pre-orders of the PS3 version of Arkham Asylum, where Bat-fans were gifted the opportunity to play as the Joker on the challenge maps, although this new offer is available across all formats.

However, Best Buy is only available to gamers in the U.S, and there has been no early indication that the offer will become available in Europe. In fact, there has been no official confirmation of any pre-order exclusives until now, so it’s safe to say that Best Buy’s claim should be taken with a heavy dose of Bat-scepticism for the time being.

While Catwoman gets to crack skulls (and whips) as an integral part of the main storyline, it seems Robin will most likely be relegated solely to the exclusive maps. However, with no official word from Rocksteady or Warner Brothers, we’re reserving our collective Bat-judgement until the Bat-phone Bat-rings.

About Robbie Paterson

Robbie lives in London, which means he is as totally obnoxious as you think, as if that wasn't enough Robbie also has a mullet! He will play any game, but will hate almost all of them unless they exhibit excellent use of talking animals or pirates.
