Haloathon 3 is coming and raising money for Special Effect

You’ve all heard of that little game that has enjoyed vast successes on the Xbox and you’ve probably heard of the charity Special Effect, well Haloathon is what happens when the two collide.

From 19:00 on the 19th July the friendly Geordie lads are embarking on their third Halo marathon raising money for the charity. The day will be live streamed as the lads take on the franchise in its entirety including a few online matches, let’s see who gets tee bagged and who the noobs are!

Special Effect is a charity that brings the joy of gaming into the lives of disabled people in a way that they can enjoy the magic of games that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to.

Throughout the event prizes and competitions will be unleashed upon their supportive audience, you see it’s all about giving and these guys know how to give, do you? Yes this is very much a fundraiser for Special Effect and viewers are welcome to donate to this fantastic cause via the website.

To kick the event off there is an eBay auction for a limited Edition copy of Halo 2 which is sealed and signed by the Halo 2 crew, some of whom are currently hard at work on Halo 4. The auction will end during the second day of Haloathon and it is live now on eBay! All the proceeds will go directly to Special Effect.

Be sure to swing by Haloathon’s website either to have a quick look at what the guys have been up to and on the day to catch their live stream.
