Halo 2: Anniversary rumoured to be in development

Halo 2, arguably the greatest Halo title in the original trilogy is rumoured to be in development, according to the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine. A small segment within OXM titled ” Rumours and Speculation: Insider gossip rounded up” features a sentence on the development on Halo 2: Anniversary.
Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary
343 previously stated that a future remake of Halo 2 would depend on the reception of Halo Anniversary, and if the rumours are true, it looks as if it has already been given the go ahead. Sticking to the idea that the game would be released to coincide with the 10 year anniversary of the Xbox original, much like CEA did, then November 9th 2014 would be the date to mark down in your calendar.
When Rich quizzed 343 in Seattle last year the team said they were very much up for doing an Anniversary edition of Halo 2 and hinted that it would only happen if fans demanded it be made.
Remember that this is just a rumour, but remain hopeful for an announcement from 343 Industries themselves. In the meantime, 343 Industries have their hands full with putting the finishing touches on Halo 4, which is out on November 6th this year.
