Getting Doom 3 BFG? Don’t install it to HDD, says Bethesda

So, looking forward to getting Doom 3 BFG tomorrow? Good.
Bethesda have released a bit of advice. Don’t install it to your Xbox’s HDD unless you don’t want to be able to play the bundled original Doom and Doom 2. US users are reporting that if the game is copied to the HDD on your system you will not be able to play Doom or Doom 2. Bethesda have a workaround for this, which is to uninstall Doom 3 before playing from the HDD.
Rather than fixing whatever bug is causing this issue though, they are simply recommending that as installing it to HDD serves no beneficial purpose, don’t do it.
So, you’ve been warned. According to Bethesda, don’t install Doom 3 BFG to your Xbox HDD, unless you like having bundled editions that you can’t play.
