Free weekend courtesy of Infinity Ward

This weekend all you gold XBL guys get some fresh meat to kill for a whole 48 hours as Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 is going free for those jazzy silver members of the XBL service, which when you look at it is great news for both parties.

This sudden bit of goodwill from Infinity Ward looks like something to get players interested again before the map pack comes out, but I don’t think it will work people are far too busy playing Call of Duty 4.
