The final “thrilling” downloadable episode for BioWare‘s award-winning Mass Effect 2 is set for release on the 29th of March 2011.
The DLC – entitled “Arrivals” – sees Commander Shepherd “sent to the edge of the galaxy to rescue an undercover operative who may have evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion that has been looming since the very beginning of the series.” Admiral Hackett (voiced by Lance Henriksen) is set to play a “prominent” role in the DLC, although no indication has been given as to whether he is the previously-mentioned Undercover Operative or not.
Casey Hudson (Mass Effect series Executive Producer) said “All year, we have been extremely honored and humbled by the reception we have received for Mass Effect 2 from players around the world, including our post release DLC. Mass Effect: Arrival is an exciting extension to Mass Effect 2 and will show players just how close the Reapers are to returning and completing their deadly harvest.”
The DLC will retail for 560MSP on release.
