Drum Studio – for XBL Indie Games

I have quite high hopes for this game. Long have we wanted to create our own music via the likes of Rock Band and Guitar Hero in a stylish way. Well now, apparently, we can. Drum Studio, coming out for XBL Indie Games later this month, claims players can play, record, edit, save and playback your own song creations by using your drum peripherals from the aforementioned music games.
A simple & elegant recording interface allows players to layer in multiple tracks and hone their songs to perfection before they save the song, kick back, and watch an animated drummer play back their creation.
So, in order for you to play this Indie game you need drums, although I have played both Rock Band and Guitar Hero with a regular controller (which is amazing, but slightly hard work), so surely this will have the same idea for those who don’t have drums. According to sources, there are over 320 sample sounds in the library to work your magic with, and for only 80msp I think I will give it a go. Who knows, it might start a new Xbox genre of music…

I’m still waiting a music production game like the PlayStation’s Music titles.
