Dragon’s Dogma is now a franchise!

We’ll be seeing plenty more of Dragon’s Dogma. Capcom’s adventure into the realm of RPGs has gone well, selling over a million copies. Not only that, but apparently it set records for most pre-ordered new IP in Japan.
Capcom have decided that this warrants franchisedom for the title, which means that we’ll probably be seeing a sequel sooner rather than later. Not only that, but Capcom will continue to release DLC for the game – we’ve already seen a pretty constant flow since launch.
Capcom said that they hoped that the game would become a pillar of earning for them (read cash cow), so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next.
