Capcom releasing “Feedback led” patch for Resident Evil 6

Capcom are looking to win back some fans with a patch that is said to resolve many of the problems consumers had with Resident Evil 6.

Some of the reported changes are as follows:

  • The game’s camera is getting an overhaul; the player is given a wider range of view, as a major complaint was that it was far too easy for enemies to sneak up on you.
  • A fourth Campaign is to be unlocked from the beginning; Ada Wong’s story previously had to be unlocked by completing the other story modes.
  • The “No Hope” difficulty setting will be unlocked. This was discovered to already be on the disc. Capcom stated that all on disk DLC would be released for free eventually, though whether it was their plan to release this now or they’re simply doing it due to fan feedback is not known.

The patch is set to be released in mid-December.

Will this be enough to win back people who didn’t enjoy or even finish the game?
