Capcom predicts Resident Evil 6 will sell 7 Million copies

Capcom has high hopes for Resident Evil 6. They hope to sell 7 million units of Resident Evil 6, when compared to the 5.8 million sold for Resident Evil 5, is a fairly big ask.
According to Capcom’s sales plan, their projections for other big titles aren’t quite as grandiose, with their reboot of Devil May Cry estimated at 2 million.
Capcom are pulling in all the stops for this one; the majority of the cast is returning, there are different play styles depending on who you’re playing as and with the news that the game has actually been moved forward by a month (see the trailer below), presumably to avoid directly competing with Black Ops 2. It certainly seems that Capcom is hoping for a personal best.
We shall see how it sells when it releases on 2nd October.
