Call of Duty: World at War – Dog Killing Protest

As you know in Call of Duty you can kill zombies…..yep, people……okay and dogs! Apparently killing vicious, rabid dogs is simply unacceptable according to a group of students from Massachusetts High School.

Breanna Lucci, who serves as president of the Animal Rights Club at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, said:

Killing dogs as a form of entertainment … over and over again. That’s one of the objects of the game. Parents need to know what they are buying their kids. Killing animals should not be a form of entertainment…My little 12-pound Pomeranian, Winnie the Pooh, is sitting next to my brother, who is playing CoD:WaW, and I’m thinking, ‘This looks horrible!’ My brother is a sweetheart. He won’t be killing dogs after playing. But some people might.

The students intend to gain at least 100 signatures in support of their plight before forwarding it to Activision, with the simple intention of showing showing their disgust.

Anyway I have to leave now, I’m writing a formal letter complaining about the hardships that those poor zombies face in gaming!

lmao. i cant believe someones stupid enough to do something like this.
do they honestly think a game like this is going to make people go kill dogs?

that’s basically saying you need to outlaw anything war related due to attack dogs

I’m glad they are protesting this. If they hadn’t spread awareness of this, I think I may have confused my dog for his pixellated counterpart and shot him.

There’s a difference between video games and real life… Saying how you shouldn’t kill animals in a video game but not say “Oh it’s okay to slaughter thousands upon thousands of people, but please god not the animals!” Come on, that’s ignorant.

If someone was to do harm to an animal for what they’ve seen in a video game then they should not be playing them in the first place.
