Borderlands 2 update hints at future DLC

Yesterday’s Borderlands 2 update and Mechromancer DLC has hinted at future DLC for the game, which could see your characters travelling to the desert.
Shacknews reports that the game’s new trophies that came with the update hint at a new location known to us as Oasis. One of the trophies was rewarded for exploring all the locations in Oasis and the surrounding Pirate’s Booty areas. There are already a couple of achievements for exploring all locations in a set area, so this doesn’t sound out of the ordinary.
Clever users on the Gearbox forums also uncovered some files names from the update, which included the names of maps and a vendor who sells some sweet gear for a payment of “Seraph Crystals”. In addition, there were new class heads, rarity levels, new bosses and even more weapons adding to the existing gajillion bajillion.
This has certainly gained my attention and I hope it turns out to be true.
