It is a wicked video – was also going to mention the painting in the pub scene, noticed that one last night!

I think that Columbia is a front, aesthetically…the way things shimmer and change, it almost appears as if they're not real…just there to give the player a false sense of reality! Ya get me?

    That's not what I meant originally, but that's not to be ruled out.
    
    I kinda meant that perhaps the Columbia front is "projected" onto whatever the floating island really is. In all the interviews it has been referred to as a "floating death star", so maybe the world's fair thing was just a front to cover up something a bit more sinister.
    
    Or it could be – like in BioShock 2 – where you play as the Little Sister and you see everything through rose-tinted glasses…but that would be too obvious!
