A store listing for EA Games’ awaited Battlefield Premium seems to suggest that a release date as early as 29th of June with a price point of £35 is to be expected, with a range of subscriber only features. UK retailer Coolshop listed the product with the release details reading as follows:
BF3 Premium Service is 1 code in a box to give consumers early access to the BF3 DLC expansion packs- Back to Karkand (already released), Close Quarters (releasing June), Armoured Kill (releasing September) and End Game (releasing December).
Since EA already offers the Battlelog service for free, Premium doesn’t include the same stat-tracking services as Call of Duty Elite and so appears closer to a ‘season pass’ style promotion for downloadable content.
Fan site MP1st claims, from its own insiders that Battlefield Premium will include:
- 20 Maps
- 20 New weapons
- Over 10 new vehicles
- 4+ new game modes
- 30+ assignments
- 20+ dog tags
- An assortment of premium benefits such as skins, camos, and early access to all downloadable content.
The new items will be spread across the releases mentioned in Coolshop’s description above.
