Banjo-Tooie successor in the works says Ex-Rare devs

Some of the folks behind Banjo-Tooie, including series composer Grant Kirkhope and artist Steven Hurst, have banded together and created a new twitter account, with the hope of creating a successor to Banjo-Tooie.

The account, created about 3 weeks ago, has been giving plenty of information regarding the hopes for this coming project, one tweet reading that the only problem would be getting money as the personnel should fall into place once things get started. Yesterday they also tweeted that the aim isn’t to recreate Banjo but to create a fresh IP with the same love and care that went into Banjo.

Given that the Banjo series has found a new home on the XBLA, it’s not too much to presume that Mingy Jongo (the team’s name) would aim to make the game for the console.

Does this excite any Banjo fans out there?
