I hope you all kept those receipts for your 360 HD Drives… Electronics giant, Toshiba, are rumoured to be pulling out of the optical format war, with sources all over the world reporting that Toshiba are abondoning HD DVD and shutting down all the factories producing the discs.

While this may be good for short term price drops, it wont be so good when your packing up your shiny HD DVD player in the same box as that damned BetaMax…

Those lucky people over at IGN have managed to get a 90 minute preview of the upcoming blockbuster, GTA IV. Loads of little details have become clear including a new autosave system, smooth frame-rate, street names, signature humour, better populated cities, as well as those gorgeous visuals. Many users have been experiencing various problems with Xbox Live over the past few weeks due to record breaking user totals, but users were issued a formal apology regarding the issue and promised a free arcade game. Well, News has surfaced that the game will be Undertow which, to be fair has recieved fairly good reviews. The title would usually set gamers back 800 Microsoft Points but will be available free of charge next Wednesday through to Sunday (PST). More details on how to download here. Fancy having some input on what achievements will be available in Ninja Gaiden 2?  Well heres your chance… The dev team over at Tecmo are asking for your help in creating the achievements for the game.  Closing date for this is January 24th so get your skates on! click here for more details.

The Bungie team have posted a new update which includes a Q&A answering questions such as “Why won’t you guys accept my Friend Requests?!” and bizarrely “Which is Bungie’s favorite - Badgers or Raccoons?.  Also discussed is the auto update and confirming water will be in the forthcoming maps for Halo 3.  Click here to read in full.

The Street Fighter IV website has been officially opened but sadly we cant view it because its in Japan!  Hopefully we will see an English version very soon.
