New demo up today for Codemasters’ Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. It sounds pretty interesting - it’s an FPS set in a terrifying alternate history where the Nazis have conquered Europe, built up an array of advanced weaponry, and crossed the Atlantic in 1953 to invade the USA. Turns out that Winston Churchill was almost killed by a taxi cab in New York in 1931, and if he had died the course of history could have been totally different.

In the full game you’ll play a member of the American resistance fighting to send the Third Reich packing, and the demo gives you a taste of that guerrilla combat.

Its official! the Devil May Cry 4 demo will be on Xbox Live Marketplace tomorrow (24th January) a full week ahead of the rumours!  I cant wait to get my hands on this one and slay some demons next-gen style!

We have just heard that the demo for Devil May Cry 4 will appear on both PS3 and Xbox Live on the 31st January - Great news for most and the rumour originates from a Widget placed on the DMC4 Website!  One of the most reliable rumours for a long time in our opinion!

Access to the latest Xbox Live playable demos are now restricted as part of the autumn update. Anyone with a Silver account must now wait a week before accessing any free content, allowing Gold account members to fill their boots meantime. Microsoft says this isn’t a penalty for freebie Silver subscribers, instead a benefit to the paid-for Gold supporters.

Rather than an incentive to join Gold, this is a bit of a slap in the face don’t you think? As Sony’s PlayStation Network grows from strength to strength, and is free for all, how much longer can Microsoft keep this annual subscription thing going on Xbox Live? This is surely a backwards step.
