Review – Saints Row IV Super Saints Pack

We all know Saints Row is big on crazy over the top…well, anything, and with a fresh installment that grants you super powers as you fly around town dealing with aliens, drug dealers, gang hoods and sex maniacs it does often leave me wondering one thing. Where are all the brightly coloured spandex costumes? I mean come on, it’s a no brainer right?

Is it a bird...Is it a plan...No, it's the Super Saints!

Well thankfully Volition have heard my cries and constant prayers (perhaps developers hair samples finding their way onto a few voodoo dolls of mine, may have tipped the scales also) as there finally delivering the Super Saints pack.

After a hot slice of ‘Enter the Dominatrix’ this brand new DLC pack is plain and simple, it’s a bunch of superhero costumes which will make flying around Steelport all the more epic. As the Saints say “You’ve got the powers, now you have the spandex!”

The only real shame here is the inability to also dress your comrades in similar garb, after all who wouldn't want to be in charge of a team of superheroes!

Offering you five in total, you can choose from Furious V, an all body leather suit in both red and yellow, with a curiously large V emblazoned upon it (one that will remind you of a mankini), The Otherworlder, equipped with a cape and gigantic collar its enough to make an alien super being who’s bent on invasion, more than comfortable.

If your character happens to be female (or not, whatever floats your boat) you’ll have access to a wonder woman-esque number known as The Strapless Wonder and finally a very super girl costumer Miss Mischief, proudly donning a cape and showing off her huge Third Street Saints symbol.

Once you’ve picked your persona, or mix and matched somewhat, nothing can quite beat running around town and gliding into battle as a totally unwanted hero, its like an X-Men game that never was. If heroics aren’t you’re thing however, you could always take the time to make one of these costumes your super villain persona and go wreak some havoc.

Overall, each “unforgivingly skin-tight costume” looks great and fits into the universe perfectly and considering style is everything, grabbing this pack for such a small price is definitely worth it.

Up up and away saints. No? well you’ll have plenty of time to find a catchphrase!

If he's not saving the world from zombie hordes (yes he works in retail) Ben can found playing almost any game he can get his hands on! Hitman and Max Payne are his games of choice but don't let that fool you, he can hold his own in a game of C.O.D! He also likes Tea, Whiskey and short walks home...to his Xbox! Say Hi! I love to talk!
