Aren't a few of those games aimed more towards the Japanese audience and getting more consoles sold over there?
Monster Hunter is huge in Japan, and all those Mech games (Chromehounds etc etc) are big there too.
Ok we all know I am a tad bit fanboyish when it comes to the awesomeness that is the 360.
That said most people feel the xbox has the stronger line up of games announced so far for this year and I think we can agree, no matter your console, this is going to be the best year of gaming for a while.
Yet I found a comprehensive list of Xbox 360 exclusive titles for this year and some of them jumped off the page as "Why?"
Sure you have Alan Wake, Mass Effect, Halo Reach etc etc but there were also the following games...
Mechwarrior 5 - Mech games feel like they have had their day
Monster Hunter Online - Online only games never seem to be that huge
Ninety Nine Knights 2 - The first one was shall we say, average
Kingdom Under Fire - This is meant to be a strategy in the vein of Total War, no more info then a few screens
Supreme Commander 2 - Didnt play the first on a console but the console version was meant to be buggy as hell.
Whether this was done as part of Microsofts planned at least 1 exclusive a month all year push or not I dont know but I always think exclusives that review poorly often do more damage then good "Im looking at you Haze!"

I disagree with the original post - i think it's fantastic that there are many different genres and franchises available on our beloved grey box. I'm sure there are people out there salivating over at least one of those games, and I must admit I was a big PC MechWarrior 2 fan - so the prospect of an updated console version has got me interested, provided the developers do it justice. IGN have got some interesting info and vids.
But back on topic, whatever gets people buying 360's and playing the games is a good thing IMO - and you never know, you might end up playing one of them titles!!! Look at stuff like Tropico...no-one thought it would work on a console and it does...Doomey loves it!!!![]()
Well, that looks suitably bonkers - Eastern audiences will lap it up! Mind you, it's possibly something I'd consider playing...
