    Default AVP a cautionary tale

So me and Mrs Chunky went out today for a bit of a spend in Hereford. I decided I wanted to pick up AVP and walked into HMV. There it was on the shelf, advertising that if you purchased the game you got a free voucher worth 800 Microsoft points - woot thought I, that pays for an arcade game or indeed the first map pack.

Mrs Chunky, ever the prudent one told me to check the other shops first, if HMV could offer a deal maybe the others were as well!

Out I strode, full of cheer, I checked in Gamestation, Game and.....yes, even Powerplay. It was for naught though and we skipped back to HMV while I wondered what arcade game to get, as we approached I noticed a member of staff taking down the offer sticker, panic stricken I rushed forward to ask.

"Im sorry sir, we only recieved a limited number of vouchers for the offer and we have just sold the last one"

No No No.... that's how women shop for dresses and petticoats.....

I would have seen if they would reserve a copy before leaving..... schoolboy error im affraid.....

Although 1 good bit of news, Gamestation will now swap your game if you take it back within 10 days and exchange it for another new game....how good is that!
