Another Friday arrives which means it’s time for another Community Spotlight, this week we welcome David!

Tell us a bit about yourself…

My name is David Wriglesworth. I’m 21 years old and from Darlington, UK. I recently graduated from the University of Lincoln with a degree in BA (Hons) Journalism and I write for Console Monster in my spare time. You can regularly find me on Xbox Live (Wriggy) and Twitter (@Wriggy).

What are you playing at the moment?

I took advantage of the recent sale and picked up Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2 and Forza Horizon, so I’m playing through them at the moment. I’ve also got BioShock Infinite gathering dust so I need to get a move on!

What games are you most looking forward to in 2013?

Grand Theft Auto V is a title that particularly stands out, especially after the recent gameplay trailer. Other than that, only FIFA 14 is on my wish list, much to the relief of my wallet.

What are you thoughts on the Xbox One? Will you be getting one?

I was always planning on buying the Xbox One, even after the poor reveal. I was particularly excited about the digital nature of the console as I believe it’s the future of gaming, so I was a little disappointed about the U-turn. Nevertheless, I still think it’ll be a great console.

What is your favourite game so far this year?

Gears of War: Judgment has stood out for me. I’m a big fan of the series and it was great to get another dose earlier this year.

What achievement are you most proud of getting?

I consider myself to be a bit of an achievement junkie so there’s quite a lot to choose from. However, unlocking “Suicide Missionary” (Complete all campaign acts on Insane difficulty) on Gears of War 2 particularly stands out.

What got you in to gaming?

My dad was a massive influence. He’s always been an early adopter of new technology and he was keen to get me gaming away as soon as possible.

What was your first console?

The PlayStation (One) was my first console. Still have a number of memory cards lying around.

Who is your favourite character in gaming and why?

I’ve always been a big fan of Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series. Mainly because she’s the only character in a video game who can lock her butler in a freezer.

If you could have one classic game remade what would it be?

I’m a big fan of Conker (from Conker’s Bad Fur Day) and I loved Conker: Live and Reloaded when it released in 2005. I’d go nuts over a remake or another title in the series…

And finally, what are your top 5 games of all time?

5. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion – First Xbox 360 title that really gripped me.
4. Crash Bandicoot – One of my earliest gaming memories. Fantastic title.
3. Tomb Raider – Completed it too many times to count.
2. Pokemon Red – Easily the most-played game of my childhood.
1. Halo 2 – Spent countless hours playing the game online.
