Alien Breed: Evolved coming to XBLA

Anyone who’s seen SentUAMessage this week will have seen AceyBongos and MrPointyHead babbling on about Alien Breed: Evolved, a remake of the old top down shooter (Alien Breed) made famous by Team 17 back in the early nineties. A frantic shooter with more than a hint of influence by a certain other black, xenomorphic species it was widely regarded as one of the best on the platforms lucky enough to receive it.
Once again, Team 17 (who also bought us the two Worms games) are back on dev duties as they bring the franchise bang up to date with a diagonally slanted top down view and a gorgeous looking 3D environment for you to run around fragging the sweaty black aliens in, and from the looks of things it will retain the crazy blasting that made the original so damned addictive.
I for one am very much looking forward to this remake, as the original PC game sucked up many an hour of my time and I’m sure gamers of a similar age will hold it in the same regard.
Slated for an October release, watch out for this mofo’ cos it’s meaaaaan…

I absolutely loved the orignal which I used to play back when I was a young lad.
Best news I’ve heard in a long time, can’t wait for this one.
