Microsoft has taken it’s first steps towards the new services available on Xbox Live by rebranding the Xbox Originals section as Games on Demand.
All the currently available Xbox Originals are included in the Games on Demand section, and older 360 titles such as BioShock, Assassin’s Creed and Lego Star Wars will be up soon.
In a recent interview with Gamesindustry.biz, Shane Kim said “It’s not going to be new games. We did it with Xbox Originals and now we’re expanding that to Xbox 360 games for the first time.
“They’re bigger and more complex and there’s a whole bunch of business related issues that we have to work out there if we wanted to start going day-and-date with new releases.”
Launching officially in August with 30 titles currently planned to available at the time, new (old) titles are projected to be added on a weekly basis – and (for the first time ever), you will be able to purchase games using your debit/credit card instead of good old MS Points.
